About this licence
Server 2016 Essentials helps organisations prevent attacks and detect unauthorised activity. It provides controls for privileged access, protection for virtual machines and platform hardening against incoming threats, while leveraging Azure-inspired software-defined compute, storage and networking capabilities.
Installation is guided by a setup wizard that creates a new Active Directory structure and includes a user-friendly dashboard for management. An agent on client computers connects to the server to save data. The product also offers options to link existing Office 365 user accounts via an assistant that connects Office 365 and Azure Active Directory and to assign different administrator rights to users.
