Surgeon Simulator 2013 Steam Gift is a darkly humorous, over-the-top operation simulation for Steam. You play as Nigel Burke, a would-be surgeon with deliberately shaky hands. His task is to perform life-saving surgical manoeuvres on passive patients. The English-language game was released on 19 Apr 2013. The full game grew from a prototype developed in just 48 hours at the 2013 Global Game Jam in January. That prototype challenged players to complete a heart transplant with clumsy, inappropriate tools. Keyboard and mouse actions control a hand designed to be exceptionally difficult to operate. The full Steam version adds features, operations and environments to that original concept. Available procedures include a heart transplant, double kidney transplant and brain transplant. The difficult ambulance mode moves surgical procedures into the back of an ambulance. Other operations take place in theatre, providing a different operating environment. New visuals, a new soundtrack and numerous Easter eggs accompany the expanded content. This selected variant is supplied for Steam and carries the listed activation region GLOBAL.
