Before you choose a licence
Windows Server purchasing starts with the deployment, not just the product name. Identify the release year, edition, physical hardware and virtual machines you need to run. Standard and Datacenter have different virtualisation entitlements. Core licences, client access licences and Remote Desktop Services access licences serve different purposes, so a CAL listing must not be mistaken for the server operating system itself. Build a list of required licence components before comparing offers in this category.
For Standard and Datacenter, check Microsoft's current core licensing and access requirements against your environment. A single activation key does not prove that every core, user or device is covered. OEM, Retail and volume channels can have different terms and installation media requirements. Confirm that the selected release and edition match your deployment, including any evaluation installation you intend to convert. Ask your administrator to check the licence scope and activation method before revealing the key or changing a working server.
Delivery is digital. After payment, an email link takes you to the protected order page, where the key can be revealed when fulfilment is complete; the key is not sent in plaintext email. Read the selected product's availability and delivery information before paying. Keep the order reference and follow the supplied activation instructions for your chosen variant.
The store's refund policy allows a full refund within 14 days of purchase while a key remains unrevealed. Revealing it ends the change-of-mind withdrawal right described in that policy. Defective keys are handled separately: contact support with the order number and activation error for assistance or a replacement; if a working key cannot be provided, the policy provides a full refund.

Is a CAL the Windows Server operating system?
No. A client access licence covers a different entitlement from the server operating system licence. Check the server edition, core coverage and access requirements for your deployment before buying.
Does one key cover my whole server environment?
Activation and licence coverage are separate. The required licences depend on your edition, cores, virtualisation and access arrangements; verify those against the selected offer and Microsoft's licensing guidance.
What will I receive after payment?
An email links to your protected order page. Once fulfilment is complete, you can reveal the digital key there and follow the supplied instructions. Keys are not sent in plaintext email.
Does the activation region matter?
Check the region stated for the selected variant before purchase. A language choice on this site does not change a key's activation territory, device allowance or licence conditions.
Can I request a refund?
Unrevealed keys can be refunded within 14 days of purchase under the store's policy. If a revealed key is defective, contact support for activation help or replacement; a full refund applies if no working key can be provided.
