Before you choose a licence
Start with the edition installed on your computer and the work it needs to do. Windows 11 Home and Pro are separate editions: a Home key is not a Pro licence. Pro adds business management capabilities, while Enterprise and IoT Enterprise LTSC follow their own licensing and servicing conditions. Do not choose an LTSC listing simply because its name sounds more complete. Compare the precise edition, intended use and system requirements with your existing installation before selecting an offer.
OEM and Retail describe licensing channels, not different levels of performance. Device association and transfer conditions depend on the selected licence terms; do not assume that every key can move to another computer. A key also does not make unsupported hardware compatible with Windows 11. Check Microsoft's requirements first, then use the activation method supplied for the purchased edition. If you are upgrading from Home to Pro, confirm the edition-change instructions before replacing your installation or revealing the key.
